Pantone Steps Into Fashion
Some of you may know that Pantone is the leader in color forecast services globally. What you may not know is they have expanded into the world of fashion through a friend of mine Riccardo Giraudi. I met Riccardo 3 years ago during holiday in Mykonos. At that time, he was producing Iphone covers in collaboration with Pantone on his web-site Case Scenario, which he was kind enough to give me one. At that time, they were only available in Europe but since then can be found at Bloomingdale’s as well as other outlets in the USA and abroad.
During fashion week in NYC last week, I attended a party that Riccardo was hosting. I was under the impression that it would be for the phone covers. To my surprise I walked into a sea of a colorful clothing collection appropriately named Pantone Colorwear. My first comment was OMG why didn’t you tell me about this earlier–didn’t you know I am a blogger? Immediately I was introduced to his publicist Sarah Bronila from VocalNYC, who knew of our blog and provided me with the necessary information about the brand.
The collection takes basic essentials from a man’s wardrobe – tees, tanks, pants, shorts, sweaters – and adds a sophisticated twist of basics in an elegant contemporary style. The details and garment finishing adds to the pristine overall look of the collection in its vibrant range of Pantone’s colors. The SS14 collection also colorfully incorporates polo shirts, hoodies, jackets, cardigans and accessories, as well as their previously-release swimwear collection. The logo of the brand is a chameleon, which is brilliant since they change into vibrant colors just like Pantone.
Currently there is a pop up shop adjacent to Scoop in NYC’s fashionable meatpacking district. Scoop will be caring the collection in their stores out in the Hampton’s as well this coming spring/summer season. Stop by the store and add some Pantone Colorwear to your wardrobe. Bravo Riccardo job well done!!!! Remember looking and feeling good is all that matters.
