Shoe Essentials For Fall
With the fall/winter season right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about your footwear from casual to dress shoes. Galoshes should be at the top of your list. While there is an array of options to choose from, why not make your selection fun. The image at the bottom left is an example from Swims. They will add a pop of color to your ensemble. Swims also just came out with their hybrid boot galosh pictured just above their regular galosh. This boot is made of water resistant fabric and some leather with a molded protective galosh.
Next, you will need some casual leather boots for the weekend. CAT came out with this rugged pair, illustrated at the top left, at a very affordable price. They can be found at Silverfly in Charlotte. If you’re not in the Charlotte area, you can find them at other retailers by visiting the CAT website. They come in both brown and black — perfect with jeans or twill trousers for a casual look.
In terms of dress shoes, there are two types you should have in your wardrobe — brogues and monk strap. Brogues, pictured at top right, are classic and look rich in both leather and suede. In addition to the traditional brogue shoe, Grenson has there line of high top boot brogues, pictured just below the brogues, that look great with a suit. The trend for monk strap shoes this season are double monk strap as pictured at bottom right. As everyone knows, “shoes say a lot about a man” so choose carefully and remember looking and feeling your best is all that matters.
